ROSS TUFFBOND HEAVY DUTY reconditioned harmonic balancers / crank pulley dampers are manufactured using traditional dampening materials and assembly methods are prone to breakdown through heat and vibration. The twisting forces applied to the balancer / damper particularly in performance applications causes spinning and loss of timing accuracy. In an effort to reduce spinning some manufacturers knurl the metal faces exposed to the dampening material.
This causes problems with the dampening contact and breakdown of the dampening material from the constant vibrations which balancers / dampers are subjected to. The unique TUFFBOND process used on every ROSS harmonic balancer /crank damper eliminates these common problems by creating an intermolecular bond between the special formula dampening rubber and the metal housing.
All Harmonic Balancers/ Dampners now SFI Compliant.
